DNR Seeks Comments on Enbridge License and Permit Applications for Line 3 Replacement Project

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is seeking public comments on applications related to the Enbridge Line 3 Replacement Project.

Enbridge is proposing to replace the existing Line 3 with a new, higher capacity line. Line 3 is one of six oil pipelines that cross Minnesota. The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission has granted Enbridge a certificate of need and a route permit for the replacement of Line 3 oil pipeline.

To review a list of available permit and license applications, go to mndnr.gov/line3. The DNR will accept comments for 60 days until 4:30 p.m. May 17.

Comments may be submitted online at mndnr.gov/line3 or mailed to the DNR, 500 Lafayette Road, St. Paul MN 55155-4025, Attention Line 3 Replacement Applications.
