DNR Reminding Public of Fish House Removal Deadlines

It’s almost that time of the year to start taking fish houses off area lakes.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources wants to remind everyone of the upcoming deadlines. The upper third of the state can leave fish houses out on the ice until March 15, while the lower two-thirds have to remove them by Monday, March 1.

The DNR also urges people to take all other belongings off the ice. Garbage and two-by-fours that are frozen in the ice must be taken off the ice or violators will be fined.
