“Dining For A Cause” Helps BSU’s American Indian Resource Center

“Dining for a Cause” is a fundraiser event aimed to help students part of Bemidji State University’s American Indian Resource Center. The money raised will go towards emergency funds and meals that the center can provide for students who need it. Participating restaurants are donating a percentage of their sales to the AIRC.

American Indian Resource Center Executive Director Bill Blackwell, Jr. said that 10 percent of all sales that are made from each day goes to the AIRC. There are three restaurants participating this year:

• April 1: Fozzie’s Smokin Bar-B-Q
• April 2: The Bunkhouse
• April 3: CK Dudley’s

Blackwell said that the really cool thing about the Dining for a Cause event is that you don’t actually have to bring anything in – you don’t even have to say anything. “So you just go in have a meal and 10 percent goes of anything that they make that day,” Blackwell said.
