Deadly Shooting in Brainerd

Shots rang out Sunday evening in northeast Brainerd sending two to the hospital and later two to jail. Brainerd police say suspects Nathan Becker and Tyler Cronquist were involved in the shooting killing 31-year-old Joseph Kroll and hospitalizing 31-year-old Chelsey Crawford.
A Brainerd source told us last night the multifamily home is a known drug home. However police are still investigating the motivation for the shooting.
Brainerd police says the community played a large roll in helping them catch both suspects and that there weren’t any further incidents during both arrests.
Brainerd Police says they arrested both suspects within 6 hours of the shooting, one at Super America on South 6th Street and the other turned himself in. both have prior run-ins with law enforcement.
