Dave Pritschet Resigns from Brainerd City Council

Dave Pritschet, who has served the second-longest tenure on the Brainerd City Council, had his resignation accepted at Monday’s meeting to pursue a new job.

Pritschet, who has served Ward 1 for the last 10 years, is leaving to become principal at Assumption Catholic School in Hibbing. Before this, he was a Forestview Middle School teacher for 26 years. After 38 years in Brainerd, he says he felt like it was time for a change.

Filing for the open council member position is going on through May 31. Someone will be appointed to the position on July 18, as Pritschet will serve through July 31.
