Crow Wing County Fair Beer Sales Denied

The decision to uphold a longstanding ban on alcohol at the Crow Wing County fair came as a disappointment to many who have lobbied for a beer garden to boost fair revenues. The decision passed with a 3-2 vote Tuesday, and although he was in favor of the beer sales, County Board Chair Paul Koering said he respects the vote. And after their giant push to allow the beer sales fell short, both Doucette and Koering say this may be the last time we see this issue come up. But they say they will just adapt and move forward to put on the best show they can.
