Crow Wing County Board Seeks Public Input About CMCC Merger

Citizens packed the room at the Crow Wing County Courthouse today in Brainerd waiting for the opportunity to give their opinion on the merger of the central Minnesota Community Correction Services with the Crow Wing County Community Services. Since April the Probation Service Task Force has been trying to evaluate the pros and cons of exiting the joint powers agreement with CMCC.

One by one the citizens stepped up to the microphone to voice their concerns. One of the main worries in the room was what kind of service could they expect from the merger.

The board will take the comments that they heard into consideration as they continue the process of trying to make a final decision.
