Construction Beginning for Birchmont Drive Storm Sewer Project

BEMIDJI- The City of Bemidji will be starting the Birchmont Drive NE Storm Sewer Project today.

A small section just north of Decker Hall on Birchmont Drive will be closed. The entrance to Diamond Point Park will also be closed to make repairs on the storm sewer and clean out the storm water pond.

Repairs for this project will take place from 7AM to 7PM, Monday through Friday and some Saturdays. Birchmont Dr NE will not be passable at the project location, and thru traffic will be rerouted on adjacent streets – 16th St NW and 19th St NW.

Residents, students, and employees at BSU will still be able to access all facilities and the park from one side of the project or the other.

The planned completion date for this project is August 12, 2016.
