Community Spotlight – Verndale Robotics

The Verndale Robotics team has only existed for a couple of years, but the team is already enjoying some success. Seeing the team succeed has also been a welcoming sight for team advisor Matt Jones, who says the skills the kids learn are invaluable.

The team’s robot features what they call a 6-bar lift, and took the team nearly two months to create. Team 411V placed second in the Dream It. Do It. Minnesota State VEX Robotic Tournament near the end of January, earning them a trip to the CREATE U.S. Open Robotics Championship in April.

Since Team 411V won’t compete again until April, they will have plenty of time to tinker and make their robot just right.
