Community Spotlight: Randall Girl Seeks Votes for Adaptive Bicycle

Its a fundamental skill you learn as a kid and can always recall your first experience with learning how to ride a bike.

But that freedom for nine-year old Abby Nutz has been limited. Abby has cerebral palsy, affecting her muscle control and preventing her from speaking on her own. But that hasn’t slowed down her and her family one bit.

But since outgrowing her trike, the family began looking for other options. Abby is now entered in a national contest called the Great Bike Giveaway who’s goal is to provide 600 adaptive bikes to children with special needs.

The adaptive bike Abby is seeking is the freedom concepts tandem costing around 7,500 dollars. But gaining enough national votes would win her one for free.
