Community Spotlight: New Northland Arboretum Executive Director

A new face to Brainerd will fill the position as Executive Director of the Northland Arboretum. Current director Nancy Corrigan has been with the Northland Arboretum since January of 2014, but plans to retire and turnover the position at the end of the year.

Meet Matthew Hill; a resident of Aitkin, former executive Director of Aitkin County Care, and the new Executive Director of the Northland Arboretum.

His years of involvement with non-profits organizations and chamber of commerce is what has sparked his heavy involvement with uniting the community.

Corrigan and Hill have only known each other for a year, but their stories of moving into a position like this into a bigger community are very similar.

Her advice to him is to keep an open mind.

But she has no doubt that Hill will be a good fit for the position.
