Community Spotlight: Lakewood Health System Teach Breastfeeding

Soon-to-be parents are preparing to welcome their babies in the world. One of the first steps for some was attending this evening’s So You Want To Breast Feed class at Staples’ Lakewood Health System.
The class taught the expecting parents a range of topics from how big a baby’s stomach size is, to how to look for when changing a diaper, to the benefits of breastfeeding.
The soon-to-be parents say its important to attend this class to gain the confidence or a refresher before welcoming their baby into the world.
The expecting parents got to take notes and discuss with other expecting parents about the breastfeeding the process. They say there were some surprising benefits to breastfeeding they weren’t aware of.
Lakewood Health System’s next breastfeeding class at their Staples campus will be early next year.
