Minnesota still has its own set of trains that run through the state.

Locomotive travel, however, has decreased in popularity to the point where finding a passenger train to travel on may not be ideal. A history display at the Beltrami County History Center explored a different time, when trains and the tools that allowed them to operate were very different.
