Community Spotlight: Bemidji’s Only All-Inclusive Playground

Bemidji’s newest playground has been a big hit among many families, but for some kids this means much more than just an attraction.

For them, to play in a park is their one simple wish. And at Bemidji’s only all-inclusive Paul Bunyan Playground, they move beyond their disabilities, here, they are simply just kids.

With their needs in mind, swings have safety harnesses, and there are ramps to elevated play areas.

The park is designed by Shane’s Inspiration, it is also the only park in Minnesota designed by the non-profit organization. The project two years in the making is also funded by the city and community members.
