Season 5, Episode 11

Common Ground follows the process as multiple community groups collaborate to weave a huge rug for Governor Dayton.

“Stunningly beautiful” was how Governor described the welcome rug presented to him when he came to Park Rapids for the 2013 fishing opener.

The unique piece of community art more than 400 hundred feet in length of hand woven rag rug was initiated by Moorhead raised artist and educator, Jill Odegaard. Odegaard shares with viewers how she was inspired help to bring art “out of the gallery and into the community” more than a year previously.
