City of Roseau Nearly Complete with Flood Prevention Project

It was a day of excitement for Roseau city residents, as they recognized the flood-prevention project heading into its final phase.

The flooding of the Summer of 2002 left businesses, homes and people devastated.

A year later, plans began to start a project with funding from the city, state and federal government as well as the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.

Local dignitaries helped cut a red ribbon while standing on the new walking bridge over the river.

The final phase of the project focuses on adding bike, ATV and walking paths as well as birding stations.
