City of Crosslake Endorses Crow Wing County ICE Agreement
Crosslake has become the latest city in the Brainerd Lakes Area to endorse Crow Wing County’s agreement with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, also known as ICE.
At last week’s city council meeting, the Crosslake City Council unanimously approved a resolution supporting Crow Wing County’s agreement with ICE. Crow Wing County originally entered into the agreement in March, which gives local officers the authority to perform specific functions under the agency’s direction.
“Brainerd City Council in the last month has also endorsed support for this,” said Crosslake City Council Member Robin Sylvester. “So I felt it’s really just a good cadence to say, we support you Sheriff [Eric] Klang and the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office.”
Brainerd gave their stamp of approval for the agreement last month.
