Canadian Restaurant Chain to Open in Minnesota

A Canadian restaurant chain will look to expand into Minnesota, according to a report from the Star Tribune.

There are currently two Tim Horton’s restaurants in the state; one is at the Fortune Bay resort and casino in Tower, Minn., and another is in the Star Casino in Mahnomen, Minn.

The partnership for more stores came when the chain’s parent company, Restaurant Brands International, signed a deal with a Bloomington firm called Restaurant Development Partners.

In total, there are about 4,000 Tim Horton’s locations. There are 3,600 in Canada and about 800 in the United States.

To this point, Tim Horton’s has signed deals to open restaurants in the Twin Cities, St. Cloud, Duluth and Mankato.
