Camp Ripley Warns Public Of Possible Noise From Training Events

People in the Brainerd Lakes and Little Falls areas might notice some loud and unusual noises from Camp Ripley during the month of April.

Starting this week and continuing into the second and fourth weeks of April, there will be various trainings being held at Camp Ripley, many of them involving large caliber weapons systems. The exercises are a part of troop proficiency trainings and qualifications on battle tanks and weapons systems.

“We’re trying to fill in some of the gaps for the big Army. This training is vital and we’ve got this great training area here at Camp Ripley to utilize. Just a big thank you to the families, the soldiers, all their hard work,” said Capt. Jeremy Mihelich, Troop Commander at Camp Ripley. “And to the communities for their support and allowing us to come out here and be loud and make some noise.”
