Camp Ripley Celebrates Forty-three Years of Exchange Program
A simulated combat and maneuver training was preformed as The Danish and Norwegian Home Guards worked alongside soldiers at Camp Ripley. For about two weeks the Europeans soldiers experience the military lifestyle and are introduced to cooperative training experiences with the American Military.
Beginning in 1974, The Partners for Peace Program is the longest observed relationship exchange between two allied countries in the Department of Defense. The benefits of this program are reflected in the mutual techniques learned and observed as well as the friendships made during the exchange.
