Building Bridges to Support Local Organization

Fifth graders at Forestview Middle School participated in a bridge building competition to support a local organization. The contest supports Bridges of Hope, a nonprofit organization serving more than 2,500 households in Crow Wing County. The Building Bridges event is to spread awareness to the community on their mission to build bridges of support between families in need.

In effort to raise awareness for Bridges of Hope, family members, friends, and fifth graders gathered in Forestview Middle School for a bridge building competition.

In it’s fourth year holding this competition, Bridges of Hope, a faith based organization that focuses on assisting families in crisis, teaches this group of fifth graders how to work together to build a stable foundation.

Left and right bridges were being tested for the amount of weight they could hold, but in the end their could only be one winner. Five ladies from Mrs. Harrison’s class bridge held the most amount of weight with a grand total of…

They believe their method worked to their benefit.

Along with their trophies the group of girls also get a special treat during the school day.

Alongside their supporters, Bridges of Hope continues to raise awareness of their services to the Crow Wing County Community.
