Bug-O-Nay-Ge-Shig School Students Graduate from G.R.E.A.T Program

Students from the Bug-O-Nay-Ge-Shig School are graduating from a program that’s literally great. The G.R.E.A.T program, which stands for gang resistance education and training, teaches middle school students about the dangers of gangs and violence.

Forty-eight students were recognized today for completing the program that shows them that prevention is the best protection. Friends and family members of the graduates said that it’s good to give students the education so that they can make better choices.

School officials say that the G.R.E.A.T program also teaches students a multitude of skills that they can use later in life, like leadership, conflict management, and self-confidence. They also hope to build on the current program and continue the G.R.E.A.T program for other students in the summer.
