BSU President Hensrud Signs Climate Commitment During Feast of Green Event

Bemidji State University is celebrating sustainability efforts and held their annual Feast of Green Monday the American Indian Resource Center.

At the event, President Faith Hensrud signed the commitment to incorporate both carbon neutrality planning and resiliency planning on campus. Bemidji State University’s Sustainability Project Manager Jordan Lutz said the commitment will set the university on a formal path towards resiliency planning.

“Thinking about incorporating a resiliency component to our already laid plans for reaching carbon neutrality, we recognize we can better plan for future changes to our climate, and we can better collaborate with community partners to face those changes together,“ Lutz said.
