BSU President Formally Inaugurated

The president of Bemidji State University and Northwest Technical College was formally inaugurated today.

Dr. Faith Hensrud will be BSU’s 17th president and the 3rd president to also over see NTC.

Former and current staff members, students and other community members gathered to welcome the president and hear her plans for the schools.

Bemidji Mayor Rita Albrecht offered a warm welcome to the area.

The presidents of both student senates expressed excitement in her vision for the campuses.

Hensrud talked about continuing to diversify the student body and meeting the needs of underserved populations which she understands first hand.

Former President Jon Quistgaard says he was encouraged by the way she spoke of new ways of teaching and learning.
