Breezy Point Airport Welcomes Community During Fly In

25 years ago Lakes and Leisure Reality in Breezy Point hosted a hog roast for their customer appreciation day. They say in those days they would have been happy if 40 or 50 people showed up.

This year the hog roast teamed up with the Breezy Point Airport to add a classic car show and an airplane fly ins. Families got to sit in the cockpit and pretend to fly a plane, take rides in smaller plans and tour the area’s aviation history. Breezy Point Airport’s manager says it’s important for the community to be familiar with their home airport.

Breezy Points Airport opened in the early 1960s and currently has just under 3,000 feet of runway.
