Branding Minnesota Midwest or North

Midwest or North. A recent survey posed which would be more beneficial to marketing Minnesota. Local Visit Brainerd and the Brainerd Lakes Chamber differ on which would better brand the Lakes Area.
However both quickly point out that Minnesota varies greatly from the Midwest.
Other cities have claims as the capital of their areas. The East, New York, South Atlanta, New England Boston, The West LA. But if Minnesota becomes apart of the newly created North, that’d leave a new capital to be named.
We I asked both which Beach Boy location embodies Minnesota girls more, Midwest farmers’ daughters or Northern girls. And both leaned more toward Northern girls keeping their boyfriends warm at night.
