Brainerd’s Savannah Cole Crowned Miss Minnesota 2014

Brainerd’s own Savannah Cole has been crowned Miss Minnesota 2014. Cole won the preliminary swimsuit competition and the preliminary talent competition after singing “House of the Rising Sun.” Cole bases her platform on epilepsy. She advocates for the Epilepsy Foundation in an effort to educate communities about the disorder and what to do for someone who has a seizure. Cole currently studies physical therapy at North Dakota State University.
