Brainerd’s Relationship Safety Alliance Takes Part in 2025 Give to the Max Day
The Relationship Safety Alliance in Brainerd was among the many organizations taking part in the 17th annual Give To The Max Day on Nov. 20. This year, the nonprofit raised over $4,500 during the event.
The RSA, originally known as the Mid-Minnesota Women’s Center, has provided critical services to victims and survivors of domestic violence and child abuse since 1978. The organization offers safe housing, supervised parenting time, crisis response, advocacy, and prevention education across Region 5 organizations.
The money raised helps support the organization’s many services, which includes serving 932 individuals, providing 3,740 nights of shelter, and facilitating 303 support and education groups through its programs last year.
“All of that goes right back to supporting the critical services that we provide to victim-survivors,” said Relationship Safety Alliance Executive Director Shannon Wussow. “I think it just speaks down to the core of what nonprofits are about. We are about serving each other, supporting each other, and anyone else that needs us. So, when there’s a day for us to come together to do that, then we absolutely will do that.”
