Brainerd Youth in Government Prepare for Big Conference in Minneapolis

The Youth in Government program commonly known as “YIG” is a unique way for students to learn about leadership and the importance of civic engagement. They are now preparing to take over Minneapolis at a huge conference.

The program is trying to change the way that young adults think about politics

The Youth in Government Program has reached out to the community for support

YIG will be going to Minneapolis with their adviser Amy Aho and co-advisor Former Sate Representative John Ward. Both advisers are impressed with the students so far.

The four day conference will start on January seventh and end on January tenth.
