Brainerd Woman In Fatal Accident With Semitrailer

Brainerd, MN – The Minnesota State Patrol reported that Linda Marlot, 62, of Brainerd, died in an accident involving a semi-trailer last Friday.

According to the report, at 3:15 p.m. Marlot was traveling southbound on Business Highway 371 in her Honda when she began to drift over the center line. The semi-trailer was traveling northbound on 371 and collided with the Honda near the front axle.

The road conditions were reported as icy, although it was not stated in the report as the reason for the Honda drifting.

The driver of the semi-trailer was Douglas Calkins, 59, of Deerwood. He suffered from no apparent injuries.
