Brainerd Woman Falls Asleep At Wheel; Suffers Minor Injuries

Brainerd, Minn., – A Brainerd woman fell asleep while she was driving southbound on Highway 169 Sunday around 2 a.m.

Inez Hart, 66, told authorities she fell asleep before her 2004 Chevrolet Impala went into the East ditch, hit an access point, and went airborne for about 100 feet.

Hart was conscious when found and transported to Riverwood Hospital for minor injuries.

Hazardous material was not present on the scene or reported as responsible for the crash.
