Brainerd Sells Antique Junk As Treasures

They lined up around the corner to get a chance to buy repurposed junk treasures. Vendors from around Minnesota and Iowa lured antique shoppers into Brainerd’s historic train depot with jewelry, jams and vintage household antiques. And Olde Depot Junktion organizers say there’s no better venue for antique shopping than Brainerd’s repurposed historic train depot.

Antique craftsmen turned old cars into bars, old beds into benches and even turned old skis into a chair. And it’s these outstanding pieces that drew in the hundreds of shoppers.

Junktion shoppers say they came this weekend to find old treasures to make their homes feel more timeless.

The two-day event was kicked off with a two-hour VIP early train, allowing eager treasure hunters a head start before the general admission competition.
