Brainerd Sees Record Hot Summer Weather

There were times throughout the summer where the 90-degree days in Brainerd just wouldn’t stop coming. With the third-most 90-plus degree days ever recorded, along with the drought, this summer will go down in the history books.

23 times this year, Brainerd reached temperatures of 90 degrees or higher. Additionally, there were two stretches of a week or more where that threshold was reached. With hot weather early and often in the summer, Brainerd, Duluth, and International Falls all saw their hottest mean temperatures in the summer of 2021.
