Brainerd Schools Receiving Political Attention For National Blue Ribbon Status

Brainerd School’s six elementary schools that received National Blue Ribbon honors are drawing attention from Washington D.C. and St. Paul, during this morning the National Blue Ribbon Breakfast Celebration. Local state and national politicians at the event say they’d like to use the education system in Greater Minnesota to education students around the state and county.
Both State Senator Ruud and U.S. Congressman Rick Nolan say this honor for the Brainerd Schools is a reason why the government needs to invest more money in our education system.
Today was the district’s second to last celebration to honor the six National Blue Ribbon Elementary Schools. And although they were honored this year, the principals say now isn’t the time to be complacent.
Also sending his praise from abroad via video was former Superintendent Steve Razidlo who was the Brainerd School’s superintendent until last school year.
Brainerd School Districts six elementary schools receiving National Blue Ribbon honors is more than 27 states combined National Blue Ribbon schools.
