Brainerd School’s Could Struggle to Fit-In Preschool

National Conference of State Legislatures says for every one dollar invested into early education yields eight dollars back. And because of those numbers Governor Mark Dayton is pushing Minnesota to embrace preschool in every school district.
However in Brainerd’s elementary schools there’s already a space crunch trying to educate the growing number of kindergarten to 4th graders.
One of those spaces is a bonus classroom at Baxter School used for arts and sciences.
Adding preschool to school systems is one of the projects outlined in Governor Dayton’s 7-point-plan to increase success rates in the classroom.
