Brainerd recieved free bottled water

Distributing free clean water by the truckload. Saturday afternoon cars lined up to receive one free case of bottled water per family. Super America donated 1,800 cases of bottled water to Brainerd to help those affected by the city’s water boil order.
The city recommends those affected boil all their drinking water for two to three minutes to make sure it’s safe. They also recommend boiling their pets’ water or using bottled water.
The Salvation Army, Red Cross and Brainerd’s fire and police departments were directing traffic and passing out water by the case. The city has been under a water boil order since a Brainerd Public Utilities pipe busts during Thursday’s violent storm.
Although it was last minute the emergency organizations say they’re happy they were able to organize this water distribution.
