Brainerd Lakes Walk A Mile In Her Shoes Celebrates Nine Years Of Fighting Sexual Assault

Well if you never seen guys struggling to walk around in size 16 heels then you have never been to the “Walk A Mile In Her Shoes” event. The one-mile walk gives men an opportunity to raise awareness for women who are going through sexual violence in the community.

This year there was 70 registered walkers that participated and they raised over $10,000 for sexual Assault Services and for the women’s Center of Mid Minnesota in the Brainerd Lakes Area.

For Many of the walkers this was not only their first time participating in the event this was also their first time walking in heels.

The Brainerd Lakes Walk A Mile In Her Shoes Will continue to fight sexual violence against women one heel at a time.
