Brainerd Lakes Area Authorities Continue Push To End Sex Trafficking

Last month Baxter police arrested nine men in a prostitution bust. Last week they arrested two more in a similar bust. The purpose is to stop sex trafficking in the Brainerd Lakes Area and in Minnesota.

Baxter Police, Brainerd Police and Crow Wing County Sheriffs met today to discuss how to move forward. Chief Exsted says together they can be more successful.

Authorities tell us they plan to reevaluate how they handle those involved in sex trafficking. And a key to that is how they educate the public about what is sex trafficking.

Chief Exsted says they plan to do another bust later their year, but at this time don’t have any plans made.
