Brainerd Jaycees Ice Fishing Extravaganza Preview

For the 25^th straight year, the Brainerd Jaycees have taken to Gull Lake in Brainerd prepping for their annual Ice Fishing Extravaganza. A stretch of ice as far as the eye can see will be littered with thousands of anglers tomorrow, but today is when the real work begins. For over 5 hours, volunteers drilled nearly 20,000 holes to get ready for the big day. However, the Jaycees weren’t the only ones getting ready for the flood of people… local businesses were as well. But perhaps one of the best things to come out of the extravaganza this weekend is the impact it will have on the local economy.
