Over three hundred people from all across the region went to the Maddens Resort on Saturday to have an inspiring evening. For the very first time ever a TEDxGullLake conference was hosted in the Brainerd Lakes area. Ted is an international brand and the word itself is an acronym that means technology, education, and design and the x means that it’s an independently organized TED event.

TEDx is a local program that brings people together to have a “TED-like” experience. Their goal is to spark deep discussion and to bring together innovative thinkers with unique and powerful perspectives. Fourteen diverse speakers from local and regional areas came out to present their ideas.

They have already started recruiting volunteers to help make the TEDxGullLake Conference an annual or biannual event.
