Brainerd High School Seniors are Fighting to Protect Their Warrior Way At Any Cost

Last summer Brainerd High School ripped out their old grass field, and installed a new state of the art turf field. And because of the turf field’s warrant of not allowing chairs or high heels on the turf, Brainerd’s School Board decided to break tradition and move graduation in doors rather than spend $40,000 needed to buy a platform to protect the turf. And that’s when the senior class stepped up.

The seniors setup a group BHS Protect Our Turf complete with twitter and facebook pages. They also setup a war room in a study hall classroom to make donation calls. And the seniors say this project is also for the community.

The seniors say this isn’t just their last chance to show their Warrior spirit. But it’s also a way for them to build a legacy for the future.

If you’d like to help Brainerd’s senior class raise the $40,000 for their turf platform you can drop a check off at Brainerd High School or the district office at Washington School or email the seniors at [email protected].
