Brainerd Group Comes Together For Peace

The United States has spent over $1.6 trillion dollars on foreign wars and over 140,000 people have died since 2001. And because of those numbers the Brainerd Area Coalition for Peace members say it’s important to give the public more information about America’s foreign affairs.

The event feature speakers with experience close to our foreign affairs like a retired F.B.I. whistle blower who says 9/11 happened because American agencies didn’t share information together and our foreign involvement would be even less popular if that information was also shared with the public.
Some veterans also spoke at the event saying they’d like to see our government change how they approach war and support our troops.

The BACP’s next event is marching during Brainerd’s 4th of July parade.
