Brainerd Community Theatre Announces 50th Summer Season

The Brainerd Community Theatre is gearing up for their 50th summer season. They recently announced the three shows that will make up what director Patrick Spradlin calls “one of the more ambitious seasons we’ve yet produced.”

The summer season will open on June 25th with Neil Simon’s comedy “The Sunshine Boys.” A comedy by Neil Simon was the first play that the company produced when they were founded in 1969. The second show of the season will be “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)” by Adam Long, followed by the popular musical “Mamma Mia!” closing out the season.

“Seeing live theater is just totally different than anything you would see on television or in movies. The give and take between audience and actors is something that is not to be believed if you haven’t experienced that,” said Patrick Spradlin, Brainerd Community Theatre Director. “It’s just a lot of fun and you get to be out with other people and enjoying an experience that you can talk about afterwards.”

Tickets for the three shows are available for sale by visiting or calling the CLC Theatre Box Office at (218) 855-8199. They are also available online at www.clcperformingarts.com.
