Brainerd City Council Announces the Names of The Candidates For the Mayor Position

Brainerd City Council has finally released the names of the six Brainerd citizens who have decided to apply for the vacant mayor position.

All the applicants have strong roots in the Brainerd lakes area through different boards and organizations.

Locally owned businesses are important to the Brainerd Lakes area. The candidates have made it a priority in their agenda to include their views on the subject.

Candidates are confident that their leadership style is what the city needs.

The main issue that the candidates agree on is that the Brained lakes area needs a cheerleader and additional exposure.

Candidate Chad Mccoy was not available for an interview today but he did prepare a hand written statement on his decision to run for mayor that states “I love Brainerd and I have a passion for service.  The Mayor’s office seems to be the right place for me to combine my passion for service with my experience to make Brainerd a greater place”.
