Two Arrests Made for Murder in Rose Downwind Case

A body authorities believe is Rose Downwind’s has been located in a wooded area Northwest of Bemidji on an ATV trail.

Two men, 40 year-old Marchello Anthony Cimmarusti and 31 year-old Brandon Joseph Rossbach have been arrested for their roles in the case.

Christopher Davis is still a person of interest in the disappearance of Downwind, but is not in custody or awaiting formal charges in connection with her death at this time.

“We are thankful that Marchello came forward, because without him we wouldn’t have had this ending,” Dwa Weston, spokesperson for the Downwind family said.

The body is now at the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy and to confirm the identity.

“In her honor, we ask that you pay attention to other missing persons cases,” Weston said,”there’s a lot of people that go missing everyday.”

Both Cimmarusti and Rossbach will be arraigned tomorrow at the Beltrami County Judicial Center.
