Bob Dylan Skips Nobel Prize Ceremony

Receiving a Nobel Prize is a big deal, but if you’re Bob Dylan you’re just too busy.

Dylan was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature but wrote a personal letter stating that he’s unable to attend due to “pre-existing commitments.” He received the honor for creating new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition.

The Duluth native has plenty of time to make up his absence. He has until next June to give a Nobel lecture.
