BIR Welcomes Racers For The 35th Annual Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals

The Brainerd International Raceway is the place to be this weekend if you like fast cars and a good time. For 35 years the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals has brought some of the best drag racers around to show off their speed.

With more races and the same steep competition they are calling this year the biggest nationals ever.

From the open campground affectionately called the zoo to the biggest fireworks the town has ever seen, and also you cannot forget all the creative vehicles. No matter what there is something for everyone.

The Brainerd Lakes Area appreciates all of the business the event brings in from all over the country.

On Thursday begins the Qualifying for the Sportsman at 9:30a.m.
