Bemidji only lost two wrestlers to graduation from last season. Improving on last year’s 15-6 record appears likely. The Lumberjacks put in plenty of work this preseason, with two practices everyday. The number of wrestlers on the team offers encouragement. Forty kids fill the roster, a significant increase from the usual 30 athletes. The large numbers lead to large goals. Bemidji has not reached the Class AAA State Tournament since 2011, a streak that these Lumberjacks would love to break.
