Bemidji State University Alumna Furthering Career in Hollywood

A Bemidji State University alumna with a bachelor of science in vocal music education has used her skills and techniques to further her career as an author, producer, and screenwriter in Hollywood.

From writing her first children’s book series in 1995, Kathryn Dahlstrom knew that she wanted to turn some of her written stories into screenplays. After moving to Los Angeles, she was able to secure a role as producer for the movie “Magic Max”.

Dahlstrom is currently working on another screenwriting opportunity, and she gives credit to BSU for the music and writing foundation they have provided to allow her to succeed in her career thus far.
