Bemidji State Softball Record Breakers Yost and Peterson

It’s a good time to be a Beavers softball player and a bad time to have your name in the program’s record book. Junior outfielder Lyndsey Peterson rises to the top of the charts with 16 home runs and 32 doubles in her college career.

Peterson also owns the single-season home run record, after belting two dingers on Saturday and nine this year. Head Coach Rick Supinski says Peterson’s patient approach at the plate has paid off.

Sophomore Pitcher Jess Yost keeps the pressure on Peterson by going yard eight times this season, one less than her teammate. Yost may be playing catch-up in the batter’s box, but she runs way out in front inside the pitching circle. Yost leads the Beavers program in single-season strikeouts with 156 punch outs this year.
